I love the scruncii screws for your hair.
They are super easy and your bun stays put.

Feather extentions are all the rage right now but I just don't think
I am funky enough to pull it off so I will just stick to the feather earrings!

Da - Deeeeee!!

Father's Day was good. The Hubs got just what he wanted. A nap and he watched fishing a baseball all day long!

I am so thankful he is ours! I couldn't have asked for a better Father to my little girl.
From the beginning he swooped in like he had been a Father to a newborn a million times.
He changed diapers, he fed her, he rocked her, he consoled her, he gave her medicine, he plays Mr. Mom when this Momma has to work. He can do everything that I can do and most times even better! He never complains. He truly enjoys every single moment and never seems to get overwhelmed. Always taking every moment of raising our first child in stride.
He truly amazes me. Seriously, I am in awe of him!
When I was a crazy person after Malone was born, postpartum anyone?
He was there to pick up all the pieces and help us along.
Even though he can drive me crazy sometimes, God knew what he was doing when he brought the Hubs into my life almost 6 years ago. I am happy but even happier that Malone gets a Daddy like him. She will never have to question how much he loves her because not only is it written all over his face but he tells her and shows her a million times a day.
Happy Father's Day to the love of my life!

Dreaming of bass on Father's Day!
Thanks to the brother in law and niece for this!

These are the moments I love.

Summertime = Family time and a Giveaway!

We've been doing lots of family time lately. Posts will be sparse but that's ok. I have been looking so forward to the day that the Hubs is out for summer. He gets 6 weeks off!!!!! Much needed after a hard year coaching and teaching. By the time summer gets here, I am so ready for him to have a break and all I want to do is hole up in the house and snuggle. So we have!

Malone took her first summer trip to Lulu and Pops and had a blast. They played hard and had lots of good lovin'. We picked her up on Saturday and spent the weekend with the Hubs grandparents. So great to relax and spend time with the fam!

Lo playing the piano. She looks like a natural!

Little hands!

She carried that bucket around full of water like it was her purse.

Look at that face!

She squinches her nose and says "DHEEEEESE!" (for cheese)

She had fun walking around in Lulu's flip flops

When summer comes, I get lots of the Hubs cooking. Yum! He is a keeper!

Summer Summer Summer Tiiime

(thanks Will Smith for that little diddy ;)

We bought Malone a little play pool. First time in the water...ever. She LOVED it! She was running around splashing, playing with the water hose, drinking tons of the water (we may or may not have had a throw up episode right after that which caused us all to immediately evacuate the pool) but she still had a blast and so did we. I can see a lot of pool time in our very near future!

I love this pic. They have so much fun together. The Hubs loves that little girl so much!

Happy Summertime!!!

Summer Must Haves

In lieu of a What I Wore Wednesday post I thought I would share some of my Summer must haves! My summer wardrobe usually is the same every year. Summery tops, shorts and sandals. I usually throw in a few updated pieces like the ones below:

On the top of my list is camel colored wedges. Believe it or not, this has been really hard for me to find. I love these from Clark's. Perfect color and not too bulky for my skinny foot and they are comfortable too!

Get me this bag stat! I am so into anything remotely close to the color teal.
For my toes, for my wardrobe and for my home. I love it!
White is definitely the color for summer. White lace to be exact. I have found this trend in everything from shoes to shorts. This dress is to die for. The little cut outs on the side are super sexy but the look is still a sweet one.

Yellow shorts are everywhere! I bought some mustard colored ones from Forever21 and I love them. Pair them with classic colors like white or black for a more sophisticated look or a floral top for a bohemian flare.

White jeans. I don't think I have to say anymore. They go with EVERYTHING!

(For a complete list of items go here)
The maxi skirt is a trend that started in the spring and is carrying over to summer. Great for coverage if you aren't into showing your legs just yet. Very bohemian relaxed look and I just love it!
