Merry Christmas to You and Yours!

I have been searching for weeks now for the perfect Christmas card. I have spent hours of my life that I won't get back looking at Snapfish, Shutterfly, Minted, TinyPrints, etc. and still couldn't find the perfect Christmas card. Okay, let me re-phrase that. I found plenty of beautiful cards...for the cost of my first born child! I mean seriously? $175 for 50 Christmas cards?!?! I just couldn't justify that. So, it dawned on me today...Etsy! Why have I not thought of this before? The self-proclaimed Etsy Queen? Well, let me tell you I have hit the Christmas card jackpot! The selection is so huge that it is almost overwhelming. So, of course, I decided to post some of my faves here and you can take a look for yourself. Once you find the card you like, (most shops will do any tweaking for you) you purchase the file, send your photo(s) via email and the shop will send a proof back for you. Once approved, they will email you the file and you can use any online print shop you like (Shutterfly, Snapfish, Photobucket, etc) to print the card for you. Simple as that! I haven't quite picked mine yet. I have it narrowed down and I am thinking I can spend around $75 for 75-100 cards plus envelopes plus stamps and I think I am overshooting the price here. Aww, once again. Etsy has saved me!

Thanksgiving Weekend!

Thanksgiving weekend was a blast! We spent Thanksgiving Day with my family at my sister's house. Her house looked great for Thanksgiving, go check it out here. We had all the traditional items. I made pumpkin whoopie pies and sweet potato casserole. Both of which I had never made before but think they both turned out pretty well. It was great to catch up with my Dad's side of the family. They hadn't seen Malone since right after she was born so it was fun to watch them with her.

Then on to Bangs for the Conner side. We laughed, ate and Malone got lots of lovin! Brenda made my favorite, Chicken Taco Pie. It hit the spot after all the Turkey. We all had a blast. I wish they lived closer!

Malone is 8 months!

Wow, 8 months?!?! I can't believe that she is that big. She weighs a whopping 20.6 pounds and is wearing 12-18 month clothes. Such a big girl! She is going to be a tall model, I just know it. She is busy as a bee and is saying Mama more and more. I don't think she realizes that I am Mama but I make believe that she does. Calley said that he was suctioning her nose the other day (I know, pitiful) and she was screaming at the top of her lungs. When he was done, he gave her a big hug and she said "Mama" in a really sad voice. Needless to say Calley was none too happy when he heard this. I, however, was ecstatic! She has cut her two front bottom teeth and you would have never even known. She was such a trooper! She definitely does not have my pain tolerance. Can't wait to see what happens next month. She just may be walking by Christmas time!

Can you see her toothy grin?

Merry Christmas to Me!!!

"I wish myself a Merry Christmas, I wish myself a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"(If I knew how to make the little musical notes, I would. So insert singing here :)

I did it! I bought myself the Canon Rebel T1I that I have been raving to everyone about! It should be here by Thanksgiving and I already have so many things I want to take "really good" pictures of. #1 on the list, Conner family photos at Meme and Granddads with all the cows in the background. I have so many ideas, I can't wait! I don't know how I am going to get me in any of the pictures and for those of you who know me well are going to freak when you here me say this..."I don't even care if I am in any of them, that is how excited I am about taking pictures!" Can't wait to start posting pics with my new camera. Yipee!!

Etsy Lovin': Jellybean Apparel

Cute, cute, cute! Jellybean Apparel has some really fun stuff for the arrival of your little one! They have great maternity shirts for the days when you need to hit the grocery store or check off all those to do's. They are perfect to just throw on and still look cute when you are knocking on delivery's door. They also have t-shirts for the other members of your family too. Great for the hubby, grandma or grandpa to wear on D-Day. Here are some of my favorites!
