What I wore Wednesday #6

So, it is my 6th week of doing WIWW and I have come to a couple of conclusions...
1. I really should invest in a full length mirror
2. Everything I own comes from Target, Old Navy, or Forever21.
I mean, seriously? I am cheap. But, I have decided that I don't care. It is fun
for me to find something cheap that looks like I got it from Anthropologie.
I really do that. I hold something up and think "hmm, could this be hanging on a rack at Anthropologie?" If the answer is Yes, in the cart it goes. As long as it is under $20 it is free, right? Right. Shh, don't tell the Hubs. He doesn't seem to agree with that theory! Haha!

High Heels and Babyless weekend

Just bought these beauties for NYE! Say a prayer that I don't eat some gravel and that I can look somewhat graceful while I am sporting these babies!

Can't wait for our New Year's Eve weekend!!!! Didn't I tell you? Little Miss Malone is going to spend her first full weekend away from us. Sure, she has spent the night at my Mom's several times but it has always just been one night and we were there to get her first thing in the morning. We probably would have just done this again but one of my best friends in the whole wide world and her boyfriend are coming to town. They have all kinds of fun things planned and wanted to know if we were in. Lulu and Pops (Cal's parents) would love to have Malone for the weekend so we thought this would be the perfect time. I am sure Lulu has all kinds of fun things planned for her. I know she will be taken care of but I just don't want her to think we have abandoned her! The Hubs and I have mixed feelings about it. Although we are super sad about our little girl being gone and will miss her terribly (I am sure I will have a minor breakdown, freak out, crying session about mid-day on Saturday) we are super pumped about all of our fun weekend plans. I will let you know how it goes!

One of my best friends in the whole wide world!

Christmas 2010

Malone's first Christmas was a huge success. We had so much fun watching our little girl open presents and spend time with family. First up, the Conner family Christmas in Bangs. All the family was there and we had a blast. I wish we could have stayed longer and I wish the pictures of her opening presents would have turned out because she got some super sweet stuff! Thank you Conner's! Then we spent some time with my family and had a great time. We baked and baked some more. Then ate and ate some more. All followed up by presents, family time and coffee. I love Christmas and I hate to see it over so soon. Until next year...

Her first big girl meal. She had green beans,
turkey, oranges, and sweet potatoes!

She was so proud of herself!

Sausage Balls....Yummmmm!!

We love sausage balls!!! This is one of those dishes that are a staple around Christmas. They are super easy to whip up and are great for parties too! I love mine with a big glass of Dr. Pepper. Can't get more tasty than that. Here is the recipe:

4 cups Bisquick mix
1 10 oz package of Cheddar Cheese
1/2 cup of parmesan cheese
1 pound of hot sausage (I like to buy the smaller rolls and do half regular half hot)
1 Tblsp of Parsley flakes
1/2 cup of milk

Add all the ingredients together

Knead together until it looks like this

Roll into balls and put on greased cookie sheet.
Cook at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until bottom is brown.

Serve hot or cold and enjoy!

Malone is 9 months!

I know I say this every month, but I can't believe she is already 9 months?!?! She is such a great baby. She is getting a mouthful of teeth, she has 5 now and looks like she is getting ready to cut a new one. Ever since she started getting teeth she has been such a smiley baby. She scrunches her little nose up and just looks so darn cute. She has started clapping to which we all scream "Yay!!!" and she claps some more. Over the weekend she started waving hi and bye. Since she is 9 months now she can have meat. Ahh, a whole new world. Over the weekend she had green beans, sweet potato casserole, oranges, turkey and a little marshmallow. She didn't turn her nose up to any of it. I'm thinking real green beans vs. pureed green beans taste much better. She has been so much fun lately. It seems like every time we turn around she is doing something new. She isn't walking yet, but I am not encouraging that. I hope she stays crawling for as long as possible. I have always heard that as soon as they start walking, they start running. On second thought, that might be good for me. Then, I could lose this 12 pounds I am still hanging on to. 9 months on, 9 months off, right? Wrong. Oh well, she is worth it!

Bass Pro Santa...she wasn't a fan

She loves standing by the tub turning the water on and off

Our first attempt at seeing Santa

Dont't you just want to bite those cheeks? Such cuteness!

My Winter Must Haves

Here are my 2010-2011 Winter must haves. Enjoy!!!

Gotta have UGG's for the Winter. I love to throw them on with
leggings, skinny jeans, or rolled up boyfriend jeans.

This is the perfect dress for a Holiday party from H&M.
Some black tights and killer hills...watch out!

I love this skirt too from Forever 21. Pair it with a white shirt and
denim jacket with some tights and booties. Such easy elegance!

Are you seeing the theme here? Sequins are BIG! I love this. I actually heard someone at Forever21 call this "Grandma Chic" but I love it!

Velvet blazer from Ann Taylor. So sophisticated.

I must have this watch from Michael Kors. I love the amber tones!

Everyone must have a leopard cardi in their closet. This one is from Ann Taylor.
I can think of 1,452 ways to wear this thing. Loves it!

I don't think this jacket from Anthropologie
really translates in print. It is gorgeous!!

I love these houndstooth tights from Anthropologie.
Printed tights are a must for this season.
They really kick up an outfit that extra knotch.

I'm loving the shorts with tights with booties look.
Such a great way to show off the legs
without giving away too much skin.
These shorts are from Ann Taylor.
