Forney Historic Holiday Home Tour

Forney brought back their semi-annual Holiday Home Tour. It has been 5 years since the last tour and it was well worth the wait. There were new homes on the tour and they were so fabulous! They just don't make homes like these anymore. In the words of my sister, "I want one of these homes, just new!" When you walk in the door, it just seems so cozy and warm. These homes were just busting at the seams with charm. Hope you enjoy the pics!

These are the ladies at the first house. They dressed to fit the era of the house. So cute!

Original and so beautiful!

My Daddy painted this picture for the owner of the above house.
They have it hanging above their piano in the entry.

He painted this smaller one too for their bedroom.

Don't you just love this staircase. The detail was gorgeous
and all the woodwork was original and never been re-done.

The owner of this house had a collection of vintage sewing machines...

and vintage bread boxes all over her kitchen.

One of our favorite homes on the tour.

Aren't these windows to die for?

I love so much about this kitchen. The apron sink, the white cabinets,
the black granite, the exposed brick, so great!

I want these floors!

Such a cozy dining room. I love a round table.

My niece would always call this the Pollyanna
house when she was little. It really does look like it.
