Malone's Dedication...so sweet!

In January (I know well over due post) we had Malone dedicated at our church, LakePointe. There is no baptism or christening. We stand in front of the church body and dedicate ourselves to raising Malone in a christian home. The church and our families dedicate themselves as well. It was a very sweet ceremony and a great day for our little family.

We had an orientation that The Hubs attended where we received her "Faith Box".

This was the verse Calley picked as Malone's life verse. He hit the nail on the head!
It reads:
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances,
for this is God's will for in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18

The Faith Box includes a sealed letter to give to Malone on her 13th birthday. I am dying to know what this says. Just another lesson in patience since having my first child!

The Faith Box also includes a binder that will chronicle her faith journey. There are so many great resources and journaling opportunities in this binder. I am so thankful for our church for being so committed to helping us raise our children in this way. I thought this page was too cute. Do you call your church service "big church" also?

After the service we all went back to our house for Fajitas. My niece rode home with us to help keep Malone entertained. It obviously worked. Such a sweet laugh. Enjoy!

  1. Always a blessing for a new little one to enter the house of the Father! Big Church was always for those old enough to sit still and listen where I grew up. So thankful many now offer "Children's church". She looked adorable!

  2. We dedicated all four of our children. It is always such a special moment. Glad to see other parents doing the same for their little ones.
