What I Wore Wednesday #30

It is still 108 degrees here in Texas and I am so over this weather. I am so over summer clothes, I just keep rotating the same old outfits at this point. Anything to keep cool. I long for skinny jeans, boots and cardigans!! The sad part is, we still have about 2 months before we see relief. Even with the scorching heat, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Guest Bathroom Inspiration

So, we are doing a little re-model of our Guest/Kids Bathroom. We are almost there!! Just a few more finishing touches. I can't wait to show it to you guys. In the meantime, here are some photos that I drew inspiration from.

I am so obsessed with this kitchen, I can't even stand it. We won't paint the kitchen in this house but I was dying to have teal cabinetry somewhere. So can you guess what I did in the bathroom??

Dreaming of short hair!

So I have been growing my hair for 3 1/2 years now. It is the longest that I have had it since I was 13 years old. I generally don't "do" long hair. My hair has been short most of my life. It's a nice switch but I long for the day when I can chop it all off again! In the meantime I will just drool over these uh-mazing styles. I will rock the short hair again...one day!

Pinterest = YUM!!!

The blog world is on fire with Pinterest talk. Haven't heard of it? Go here, and I will fill you in on the time suck goodness that is Pinterest. I have spent countless hours on this thing and don't regret one single second of it. Every night when the little one goes to sleep I plop myself on the computer and go to Pinterest town. Not only have I found ways to do my hair, life quotes, uh-mazing DIY stuff, beautiful photos, and hysterical stuff like this...

I have also found countless ways to get my not so domesticated booty in the kitchen. I am an ok cook. I had about 6 dishes that I rotated every Monday and Tuesday night since those are my days off. Normally, there is no way you would get me in the kitchen on a work night because that is the last thing I wanted to do. But, thanks to Pinterest, a need for variety and a need to save some moolah. I now have some awesome recipes in my arsenal and bonus, a pretty stoked Hubs too.

All of this to say, Summer has been great! For me and my family, summer is coming to a screeching halt this week. The Hubs starts back to work and although I am excited to start a new football season the thought of having no husband for 3 months makes me ill. I miss him so much during this time and now that Malone is here it makes it that much harder to have him gone. I have to tell myself it is just a season and I am truly lucky that he only works 7 days a week for a short time. There are many women who have husbands deployed and do it all on their own for months. God bless 'em!

Hopefully I can get my booty into gear and start posting more regularly. I and by I, I mean the Hubs is still working on that office space reveal. Hopefully I can get it done in the next couple of weeks. Keep your fingers crossed!

Happy Anniversary Birthday!!!

Say what??

That's right the Hubs and I are celebrating our 4 year wedding anniversary and his 31st birthday. It was the Hubs idea to get married on his birthday. Pretty genius idea on his part. This way he never forgets an anniversary unless he forgets his birthday in which case I will have to get him a doctor's visit to check on that memory pronto.

This man is my true love! He came into my life almost 6 years ago and has made me a believer out of forever. I couldn't imagine anyone in this whole world who I would rather spend this crazy life with. He always laughs at my jokes and truly thinks I am hysterical. He values my thoughts and opinions. He always has my best interests at heart. He would do anything for me, anytime, anywhere, period. He loves hard. This is probably his best quality. If he loves and cares for you, there is no one better at showing it than him. He is great at what he does. Though he his tough, he truly cares about the kids he coaches and teaches.

And last but not least, he is the best Daddy to our baby girl. I love watching them together. He lights up when he sees her and that makes my heart melt.

Here's to the Hubs on his 31st year and here's to us for the big 4 year's of marriage.
